Optimization of operational parameters tests

Task of Refinal production (B2) first actions have been focused on the optimization of operational parameters of the Paval refining process with the main goal of replicate the quality of the obtained Refinal during the laboratory stage of the project.

The operational method for which the prototype was designed, batch, gives versality to the installation which allows the parameters modification in each batch in an easy way and without harming the Refinal production. The main parameters for the analysis of its influence in the Refinal quality were temperature, solid-liquid ratio, reaction time and reagents concentration. Based on this information, a bunch of trials were developed to produce a total of 7 samples in different conditions which allows to determine which were the optimal parameters from the quality point of view.

From the obtained results, it was decided to maintain the same operational conditions as they were defined in the previous stages of the project, because any of the other variations reported any energetical efficiency or any reduction in the consumption of reagents without damaging the quality of the material.
